INTRODUCTION
Sikhethimpilo was founded in 1998. It was founded by Sr. Ludbirga Schumacher CPS. The responsible person is the Provincial superior, Sister Maria Veronica Dingi CPS. She is the superior of 110 sisters (103 indigenous) on 18 stations in Zimbabwe and Zambia. She is ex-officio member of the management board of Sikhethimpilo and with her councillors she is responsible for the activities of Sikhethimpilo. Sikhethimpilo is a programme of the Congregation of the Missionary Sisters of the Precious Blood (CPS) in the Zimbabwe/Zambia province the address of the provincial house is Convent of Our Lady, P. O. Box 975, Bulawayo, Zimbabwe.
Currently the administrator of Sikhethimpilo is Sr. Dianah Mlauzi CPS. Sikhethimpilo is also run by board members. Sikhethimpilo is a faith and community based organisation which aims to contribute towards the empowerment of orphaned children and other vulnerable groups in finding solutions to their problems and developing confidence while remaining in their original communities.
The organisation aims at building the resilience of orphaned and vulnerable children (OVC) and communities towards the impact of HIV/AIDS. Sikhethimpilo Centre operate in 14 civic wards in Matobo district which are ward 3,4,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,19,21 and 22.

Sikhethimpilo Management Board, is the overall policy making body, the legal holding being the congregation of the Missionary Sisters of the Precious Blood.
Sikhethimpilo has a staff complement of 10, comprising of administrator, Finance Officer, Human Resources manager, Field officers, and receptionist.
